Syndicated columnist plans Haiti trip, seeks donations to medical fund
Syndicated newspaper columnist Paul Niemann will be making a trip to Haiti from April 10 – 17 to help with his church's sister parish in a town called Jacmel, Haiti.
Niemann is offering to serve as a freelance reporter to any newspaper interested in updated coverage on the Haitian situation (including recovery efforts). In addition to writing a story, Niemann said he will also take photos while there, which you can publish with the story.
The Caribbean country continues to struggle to rebuild following the January 12 earthquake that killed thousands of Haitians and caused billions of dollars in property damages.
“All I ask in return is that you make a tax-deductible donation of $100 to the Haiti Medical Mission,” he said. “100% of every donation goes straight to help the Haiti people." If interested, please contact Niemann by Monday, April 19. He can be reached by phone (217) 224-8194 or via
